We are looking for an ambitious Design Manager to join our Melbourne team to work closely with the Design Director to help deliver high-value design projects with ease.
You will be integral to the success of the Design Department. Acting as the go-to person for all things relating to design and project management you will act as the gatekeeper of the client relationship including resourcing and workflow through the department. As well as the following:
— End-to-end delivery of projects in the spec, on time and within budget
— Full client service and liaison as well as continual relationship building
— Contribute to new business proposals and presentations with the Business Development team to secure projects for the Design Department e.g. assist with the pricing of scope, deliverables and resourcing
— Meeting management including preparing agendas, minute taking, confirming and circulating actions to all stakeholders
— Financial admin on all projects incl. POs, supplier invoices, sales invoices, ensuring timely creation and processing following RAS procedures and policies as set by the Operations Manager
— Ensure all project documentation is accurately filed, labelled and is accessible to the Design team as and when required

What you need to succeed
You’ll be a go-getting, self-starter with 5 years experience in a similar role working within a creative agency with exposure to the following:
— Brand strategy and brand identity development methodology, pricing and resourcing
— Awareness of Brand identity standards application and management
— Experience managing Wayfinding strategy, environmental and signage design projects
— Familiar with broad marketing strategy and tactics
— Familiar with property development marketing tactics
— Experience with managing print production projects, commissioning, techniques and paper stock selection
— Experience managing best practice providers of UX, UI, CX for digital communications
— Familiar with and able to direct and commission digital production techniques
— Ability to remain calm under competing deadlines
— Ability to establish rapport with various stakeholders and drive relationships with external clients
